About Lana
Lana Schwarcz performs as theatre maker, actor, puppeteer, stand up comic and corporate entertainer.
When she is not working as company member for others, she writes and creates all her own work, including the design and build of puppets.
She is a resident artist at Jacks Magazine in Maribyrnong.
Performance all sorts
What kind of performer are you??
Lana performed Hula Hoops and Fire Manipulation for many years. She still teaches Adults and Children although she no longer performs in circus arts. She has a valid Working With Children Check and is available for private classes. Please enquire through the contact form for classes and workshops.
Puppeteer and Actor
Lana's puppet shows are mainly focussed on adult audiences.
She regularly performs in Puppet cabarets and slams, and makes all her own puppets at Jacks Magazine, as resident artist supported by Working Heritage.
She is also an actor and voice artist with film, TV and theatre credits.
Roving
Roving entertainment with stilts, living statue, character and clown. Also as the minute exhibit puppet peep boxes.

Lana doesn't only perform her own work, she is also an actor for hire, with experience in performing on set/location. She is adept at evaluating a script and presenting layers to characters in both drama and comedy.

Lana has a natural Australian accent, with a middle range to deep resonant voice, but can perform in higher pitches and in various other accents, such as French, Gen Am, RP, and more.

Lana started performing stand up comedy since 2007. In 2008 she was a state finalist in MICF's Raw Comedy competition, and she performed her first solo stand up hour at Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2014.
She never started out wanting to do stand up.
But there you go.
